My Results for ARRL June VHF QSO Party

I didn't spend too much time on this contest. Work or Church responsibilities took me away for much of this contest. I still managed to have a good time and work a few stations.

I didn't have a 6 Meter Antenna so I bought a couple of non-expensive supplies and spent 10 minutes measuring two lengths of wire and building a very quick 6 Meter Dipole Antenna and placed it about 8 feet off the ground.

I used a Dual Band J-Pole Antenna for 2 Meters and above.

I worked all stations on 6 Meters Single Side Band, 2 Meters FM, and 70 cm FM (Simplex).
I worked one International station from Mexico on 6 Meters. I almost made two Canada Contacts.
During the FM Sprint, all contacts were in Grid DM79 except one. I worked one station in El Paso County south toward Colorado Springs in Grid DM78.
No Repeaters were allowed. We could not use 146.52 mhz for the Sprint Contest.

For you non-hams, just to give you an idea of the Frequency Range:
CB Radio is 27 MHZ (in the HF Band), FM Radio is 104 MHZ.
VHF and UHF is in the old Analog TV and FM Radio Range.
Anything above 50 Megahertz is usually a lot shorter distance than typical HF Radio Contests which typically allow frequent contacts around the globe. I worked Mexico, and South Dakota, even Connecticut on 50 Mhz.

My Results in Colorado FM Sprint Contest

I enjoyed operating in the Colorado FM Sprint Contest: This was the contest within a contest to coincide with the ARRL June VHF QSO Party.

Date and Time: Sunday, June 13, 2010; 1200 to 1600 Mountain Time (1800 to 2200 UTC)
Objective:
To work as many stations as possible using FM simplex on the 146 MHz, 222 MHz and 440 MHz bands in as many different VHF grids as possible
Website:

My Results:
17 Contacts in 4 hours Mode: FM Bands: 2Meters or 70 CM
If a station appears twice it means I worked the station on two different bands.
